TTR - 2022 Pre Season

I regularly read articles on “How to Improve Your Fantasy Football League” and it strikes me how often ManChild already checks many of the boxes. Destination draft…check! Weekly payouts…check! Year-long penalty for the last place manager…check! Cool trophies…check! Relegation league…check! When you couple this with the consideration that ManChild enters it’s 9th season, I came to the realization that ManChild is special - a league of extraordinary degenerate gentlemen bonded by brotherhood and commitment to an otherwise silly game.

It pains me to miss this year’s draft festivities, it is always one of my favorite times of the year (at least the parts that I can remember!). I won’t bore you with explanations about work/life imbalance and competing priorities, suffice to say shit happens and sometimes you gotta pivot. Accordingly, we will be voting on some changes that might mitigate future absences for all ManChildren, at least to the best of our ability. So choose wisely. As far as obligations to Bylaw 2, I hereby offer a written explanation for my absence; submit to a league vote approving said absence; provide a proxy draft method; a bottle of alcohol (more on this later); and a commitment to returning in all my kidney soaking, lung killing, nap taking glory in 2023.

Additionally, I am under penalty for late payment, again I don’t offer explanation just apology. Since I won’t be present and I loathe the idea of paying my debt in shitty pizza and well shots I offer a heartfelt, alternative peace offering. I am sending you all a valuable, hard-to-find bottle of whiskey from my collection (WineSearcher lists only 5 bottles for sale nationwide with a price range from $350-520). This 2020 Michters Barrel Strength Rye Whiskey is my penance to all of you, my ManChild brethren. May its smooth, spicy profile bring you sweet comfort in the face of my bitter absence.
