TTR - MC Draft

I took advantage of my absence and took live notes during the draft, here they are:

2.28p I start getting spammed by Travan, the draft is starting early. I have to dislodge myself from the mountain of Legos currently splayed out on my living room floor. Good thing my draft station is already set up.

2.38p Jason and Kommish go full homer, was this a handshake deal or simply deference between bros?

2.44p Travan reaches a bit for Saquon, I like it as I’m all in on Saquon’s revenge year, but it is still a reach with Kamara and Jones on the board.

3.00p Chris takes Zeke in a well played pick from the front wheel, that’s a nice draft from the 1 spot.

3.01p Mahomes!?! Classic Angel reaching for a QB - and not even the #1, also classic Angel. Remember when he took Mayfield as the 3rd QB off the board in 2019.

3.03p. Corey takes Thielen, a WR2 on his team as your WR1 on your team is dicey.

3.05p Travan’s Etienne pick makes me feel like they’re in my head, I had both Barkley and Etienne as players that I would reach for if they were available. Travan made sure I couldn’t do that.

3.20p Nice pick, Grue. DJ Moore is a good value at this point of the draft.

3.27p Josh Jacobs as RB2 is what happens when you wait too long, I suspect Kommish will be working on this position for a while.

3.30p Zak’s Waddle pick is definitely reachy for a WR2 on his own team.

3.32p Angel reaches for Patterson, but I actually approve of this reach. Patterson is a cheat code and will be heavily involved in the pass first game script that the Falcons will find themselves in often.

3.35p Mike Williams is off the board! Jason’s wet dream - a homer pick with great value!

3.36p That thing I said about RB2 being a pain point for Kommish, maybe he makes up for it here. I really like this D. Singletary pick, the RB1 on a high powered offense, what’s not to like.

3.37p Is Alec back from the dead?...Waller…he did indeed.

3.40p Chase Edmonds ahead of Hunt and CEH? Not sure about that.

3.41p AR2 for Travan, this is not a sexy pick, but a solid one. Exactly the kind of pick you need to make when waiting for WR2.

3.47p Damn it Travan stop it! Reaching for AJ Dillon, that’s my move!

3.51p I don’t love this pick by Kommish, Christian Kirk might be good but could’ve been had a round or two later.

3.56p The Antonio Gibson trap is sprung, he might be returning punts for WAS.

4.01p Russell Wilson, is this the start of the QB run?

4.06p AARon and Burrow…yup, here come the QBs!

4.10p Trey Lance, nice pick Kommish!

4.19p Whoa…Dawson Knox…that’s a TE reach, Ertz is still on the board!

4.22p Godwin finally comes off the board, this makes up for the Kirk pick. That’s the 2nd time that the Kommish had a player fall to him to help make up for a reach.

4.23p Dameon Pierce, could this be this year’s James Robinson 2020 for Jason.

4.28p DeVante Parker! Seriously! Cooper, Bateman, Hollywood, Toney, Lockett…still available!

4.31p I was just thinking to myself Chris is doing a good job from the 1 spot, but then…a kicker in the 9th, does he have Wes in his war room!?!

4.34p Just got word of sloppiness ensuing. Angel gets penalty shot and a Koo-cker?!?

4.39p Khalil Herbert…very stretchy.

4.41p Nice value pick Grue, Hollywood finally off of the board.

4.57p Another WR value, Drake London has the opportunity for a lot targets. Of course they are coming by way of Marcus Mariotta.

4.59p I would’ve picked Bateman two rounds ago, but couldn’t stomach having 4 Ravens. Nice pick Matt.

5.00p Jamaal Williams, second reachy backup RB pick by Alec, do we have a new Wes?!?

5.02p The last time the preseason #1 ranked D/ST finished the season as the #1 ranked D/ST was…well…never.

5.05p Another penalty kicker, what happened to Angel?!?

5.08p Chris saves some face with the nice WR picks of Treylon and Pickens, it still doesn’t make up for taking a kicker before then end of the draft.

5.13p Kenyon Drake is a free agent!

5.27p Is the shitshow over, Angel actually makes a nice pick!?! Chase Claypool here is a great value.

5.49p I take it back, the shitshow persists! Angel has been in this league for a long time and he still drafts D’Onta Foreman! Welcome to the Huevo!

6.04p ManChild Mr. Insignificant…Raheem Mostert. I’ll take this opportunity to tell you that Mostert owns the #1 & #2 fastest runs in the Next Gen Stat era, the only player to run the football over 23 mph.
